Mitarit has acquired Hinkua in South Karelia! -project.

You will soon be able to borrow electricity consumption meters from the library. The meter can be used for two weeks at a time with a library card.

With an electricity consumption meter, you can measure the energy consumption of an electrical device. The meter shows the electricity consumed by the device, for example in kilowatts or volts.

In addition, you can enter the price of electricity into the meter, and the meter will also show how much it costs to use the device.

Electricity consumption meters have been purchased by Hinkua in South Karelia! -project. The goal of the project is to find climate-friendly ways for rural people to use.

— Borrowable meters promote the shared use of goods, everyone does not always have to get goods for themselves. In addition, the meters help people to reduce their electricity consumption, the project leader Tanja Nyholm Go to South Karelia! - about the project.

The electricity consumption meters are located in the Imatra main library, but they can be reserved and borrowed throughout the Heili libraries.

Go to South Karelia! - project promotes rural carbon neutrality and a climate-friendly lifestyle. The project is financed by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development. The project period is from spring 2020 to the end of 2022. The implementers are the regional environmental activities of Imatra and Lappeenranta.
