Meltola's area renovation will start on Valjaskatu in week 18

First, a temporary above-ground water supply network will be built.

The above-ground water supply network will first be built on Valjaskatu properties 16—37. The work will start on Monday, April 29.4. At the same time, the water meters will be removed from the properties.

In the renovation lasting the whole summer, Valjaskatu's water supply network and the streets' floors will be renewed.

Excavation of the street floors will start from the intersection of Loimikatu in the direction of Viipurintie in the second week of May.
— As the construction site progresses, connections to the properties on Valjaskatu will have to be temporarily cut off, but we will always notify the residents separately, says the site manager Jukka Malinen From Imatra's Real Estate and Area Service.

Because of the higher temperature of the water, it is recommended that the above-ground tap water during the construction site, i.e. summer water, be run more abundantly than normal before its introduction.

Later in May, renovation work will also start on Kulkuskatu. It will be announced separately when it starts.
Notices are distributed to the residents of the street to be renovated in each property.
