What is responsible entrepreneurship, and how can your own company act responsibly? For example, these questions can be answered at the event of South Karelia's climate partners. Sign up no later than 26.1.

Corporate responsibility is discussed a lot. But what does green and responsible business actually mean and why should companies be interested in these themes from the point of view? How to identify where your company should focus? What is the company's responsibility communication like and what should be taken into account? Many changes in society accelerate the transition towards sustainable business models. 

The cities of Lappeenranta and Imatra South Karelia's climate partners project will organize an event open to everyone on responsible business activities on January 27.1.2022, 17.00 from 19.00:XNUMX p.m. to XNUMX:XNUMX p.m. The event is organized virtually via remote connection and is free of charge.

There will be a comprehensive overview of responsible business operations, as well as a real dose of concrete facts from the business world and practical tips for environmental work in various industries. The topic of the event is corporate responsibility communication and the calculation of greenhouse gas emissions of companies, climate coordinator Eetu Ahlberg The city of Imatra tells.

At the event, there will also be an opportunity to learn more about the partnership network of South Karelia's climate partners, its operations and how to join it.

The goal of the province of South Karelia is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 80% by 2030. The goal of both Lappeenranta and Imatra is to be carbon neutral by 2030. The ambitious goal cannot be realized only through the cities' own activities, but only together with the companies and residents of the region, the emission reduction goals can be reached.
