Corona infection in Tainionkoski kindergarten

Release
17.12.2020 16:14
One group of children and a few adults in quarantine

The social and health district of South Karelia, Eksote, will quarantine one group of children and a few members of the staff from Tainionkoski kindergarten due to one person's corona infection. Eksote will reach the guardians of the children who will be quarantined by phone today.

According to Eksote, the other children and adults in the daycare are not exposed.

If the guardians of other groups want to keep their children at home in this situation, the absence must be reported to their own group, the head of early childhood education services Minna Leinonen advises.

Eksote urges daycare staff and children's guardians to apply for corona tests if children or employees show symptoms related to corona.

Today, Thursday, the daycare center will operate normally for the rest of the day, following the hygiene instructions especially carefully.

The guardian of a child placed in official quarantine can receive daily allowance for taking care of the child at home. More information about it from here. Voluntary quarantine is not covered by compensation.

The city informs about Tainionkoski's quarantine situation whenever more information is received through Wilma.
