Spring sand removal has started at full capacity

Imatra's real estate and regional service KIPA has started removing spring sand. Brushing and washing equipment has been on the move since the wee hours of the morning.

Efforts are made to wash and brush the streets with the busiest traffic at quiet times at night.

— However, vehicles also move on the streets during the day. The brushing equipment moves at a low speed, so there may be queues in places, the responsible foreman Mika Vartiainen Imatran's KIPA reports.

The cleaning teams also clean traffic dividers and paving stones during the day.

— We hope that motorists have patience when it comes to driving speeds. Fortunately, spring work only lasts for a short time, says Vartiainen.
