South Karelia's snapshot group: restrictions remain unchanged

The regional epidemic situation has taken a turn for the better, but South Karelia is still in the spreading phase. Public events cannot yet be held in May.

The six-person gathering limit for public events set by AVI is valid at least on May 16.5. until, probably the whole of May.

Facilities open for junior sports on May 3.5. 

From the beginning of May, however, all children and young people born in 2001 and younger are allowed to practice guided exercise in groups.

─ The sports facilities of the city of Imatra will be opened more broadly for the clubs' junior activities 3.5. This applies to the swimming hall and sports hall, school sports facilities (in part), Ukonniemi Arena and ice rink, head of welfare services Arja Kujala says.

Junior activities are allowed in small groups of up to 10 people indoors and outdoors in small groups of up to 20 people. The number of people includes group instructors. In indoor activities, the use of changing rooms should be minimized and in outdoor activities, their use is not recommended. Safety intervals of two meters must be observed during exercises.

The Government has ruled that matches and games for children and young people can only be started tentatively in June, if the regional disease situation allows it. In South Karelia, the national line is followed. Therefore, the local match activity that was predicted last week is not yet possible.

Group hobby activities for adults are not recommended to be organized yet. Imatra's swimming hall and sports hall will remain closed to the general public on May 31.5. until, with the exception of hobby groups for children and young people.

Outthese facilities will be opened in stages

Museums can be opened with a limited number of customers on May 1.5. from Imatra opens on 3.5. The Art Museum and the City Museum.

Imatra's libraries are open in May, but self-service is not yet in use. Digitointpaja and Nettitori will open on a limited basis from 17.5.

It is recommended that the facilities of youth services be closed on 31.5. until. Outdoor youth activities can be organized in groups of 20 people from May 1.5.

Everyone aged 55 and older can make an appointment for corona vaccinations

Eksote has opened the possibility of booking an appointment for corona vaccinations for everyone aged 55 and older, as well as for all people over 16 years old who belong to risk groups 1 and 2.
