The result of the abi survey: The benches were cancelled.

On Tuesday, the provincial situation group has outlined that middle school students can return to classroom teaching on Monday, April 12.4. unless the epidemic situation significantly worsens by the end of the week. AVI's decision on distance learning will end after this week and there is no plan to continue it.

High school students will return to face-to-face teaching a day later, on Tuesday, April 13.4. at the start of a new episode.

The corona epidemic is still spreading and the situation is serious. However, distance education has already continued to the extent that, due to young people's studies, a return to face-to-face education is justified, space and safety manager Sami Turunen says.

The hygiene instructions and recommendations of THL and the provincial situation picture group must be carefully followed in local teaching. A strong mask recommendation is still in place, the head of the welfare service bones Arja Kujala highlight.

In the lower classes of basic education, studies are continued in their own groups so that, for example, subject teachers do not rotate from one class to another.

The return to local education means that the last day of the separate food distribution is tomorrow, Wednesday, April 7.4.

The benches were cancelled

Bench nightmares are not recommended by the provincial situation group.

Last week, Imatra co-ed high school conducted a survey for high school graduates about benches. The survey asked whether they wanted to move the benches to May, cancel them completely, or implement them in some other way.

The majority of respondents, i.e. 65 percent, were of the opinion that the benches will be cancelled. 147 out of 106 matriculants answered the survey.

Thus, the majority position prevailed. This year, the benches will not be kept, headmaster Mika Strömberg says.

The provincial snapshot group also recommends rescheduling or canceling the old days. At Imatra, no policies have been made in this regard. A decision will be made on the matter in the next few days.

Gyms will remain closed on April 21.4. until

The closure of sports facilities (section 58g) was extended during the week of April 21.4. until. This applies to all sports facilities, including private entrepreneurs.

Imatra city's swimming hall, sports hall, ice rink, Ukonniemi arena and Vuoksenniska gym will remain closed.

Training is allowed for those born in 2008 and younger. It is still a strong recommendation that clubs prioritize health and organize remote training for younger age groups as well.

For those born in 2007 and older, even outdoor exercise training in groups is still not recommended. This recommendation is also valid on 21.4. until.
