The provincial covid situation group gave on Thursday 26.11. strong mask recommendation for public spaces.

In the city of Imatra, that mask recommendation applies to sports facilities and the town hall as well as cultural facilities and the labor college.

─ The mask should be worn all the time at the labor college, i.e. also during lessons. The strong mask recommendation applies to everyone over 15 years of age who does not have any health problems from wearing a mask, head of welfare services Arja Kujala says.

─ The recommendation applies to both students and staff of the Vocational College. We will send an instruction message regarding this to all students of the Vocational College, service manager of the culture and learning center Sarianna Purtilo promise.

The mask recommendation does not yet extend to basic art education, i.e. in Imatra, the music college, visual arts and crafts school. Of course, if the teaching allows it, the mask can also be used in these.
