Eksote informs: Infection reception in Honkaharju

Release
24.3.2020 18:01
This and last week similar ones were also opened in Lappeenranta's Armila and Parikkala.

The social and health district of South Karelia (Eksote) has opened three infection clinics during this and last week. Patients with symptoms of respiratory infections are treated at receptions. You cannot arrive at receptions on your own, but are directed to them from the service numbers of the health and welfare stations and from the emergency number 116 117.

Armila's infection clinic opened on March 19.3, Honkaharju's doors opened on March 23.3. and in Parikkala on March 24.3.2020, XNUMX.

At Armila, patients are guided in through a separate entrance with the help of signs. In Honkaharju, infection patients arrive at the infection reception at the hospital's entrance, which is different from the laboratory, health center and emergency department customers. In Parikkala, patients with respiratory infections are directed to separate facilities from the second entrance of the building.

Other patients in Parikkala, Armila and Honkaharju are treated in the building's normal reception areas, which have separate entrances.

The purpose of Ekote's now opened infection clinics is to minimize infections resulting from seeking treatment.

The welfare stations in Joutseno, Luumäki, Lemi, Sammonlahti, Savitaipale, Rautjärvi, Ruokolahti and Taipalsaari no longer treat patients suffering from respiratory infections, but they are referred to the other receptions mentioned above. These welfare stations serve other urgent patients than those with respiratory symptoms.

The operation of Honkaharju's emergency reception has been modified in the evenings and on weekends. Infection patients are scheduled to arrive at a different time and a separate infection reception room is used for them.

If you will urgent need for treatment, call 116 117, so that you are directed to the correct reception. If you suspect coronavirus infection, first fill out a symptom assessment at omaolo.fi. Especially in respiratory infections, it is important to first assess the symptoms and call 116 117 in urgent cases. You may not arrive directly at the reception. In life-threatening situations, call the emergency number 112 directly.

Omaolo's symptom assessment questionnaire for coronavirus disease

A CE-marked coronavirus disease symptom assessment questionnaire has been opened in Omaolo. If necessary, the service directs you directly to the right professional, health advice or in emergency situations 112. The survey was carried out in cooperation with THL.

Follow THL's information
