The situation picture group recommends that municipalities continue to keep public facilities such as swimming pools and gyms closed to the public on May 31.5. until. As an exception, guided training for young people and children is being allowed at the beginning of May.

The situation picture group has not asked the Regional Administration Office to renew the decision regarding Section 58 g of the Infectious Diseases Act, because the regional corona epidemic has currently taken a turn for the better and there is therefore no legal basis for it anymore.

- This has been a really difficult time for entrepreneurs; now different customer spaces can be opened. However, it is hoped that the activities will continue to be organized responsibly in order to avoid new outbreaks of infection and waves of disease and, unfortunately, also the restrictions they bring with them, says the chairman of the situation picture group Tuula Karhula says.

Operators must take into account the still valid decision 58 d of the Infectious Diseases Act. The decision obliges various operators, such as private entrepreneurs, municipalities and municipal associations, to take care of the safety of facilities such as gyms, public saunas and public areas of shopping centers.

The customer or participant must be able to maintain a safety distance of more than two meters in the operator's premises. If there are fewer than ten customers indoors at the same time, the general hygiene requirements of the Infectious Diseases Act must be taken into account in the operation.

Section 58 d obliges the operator to make and display a written plan on how customers can avoid close contact on the premises. The basis for the plan is available on the website of the Regional Administrative Agency.

The operator himself has the freedom to choose the arrangements that guarantee the avoidance of close contact in his premises. The arrangements may be limiting the number of customers, space arrangements or other arrangements deemed necessary and effective by the operator.
