Civil service

Conscripts who cannot perform military service due to reasons of conscience may apply for civilian service. The civilian service is organized by the Ministry of Employment and the Economy and is regulated by the Civilian Service Act. 

It is possible to apply for civilian service both before and after conscription or conscript service. For more information, please contact the Civilian Service Centre. 

The City of Imatra offers civilian service jobs from various units at its discretion.
