Mustalampi is part of Tainionkoski district. It is located on the west side of Vuoksi, halfway between the centers of Imatrankoski and Vuoksenniska. Saimaa is "a stone's throw away" and you can say that all Mustalammi's forest trails lead to Saimaa's shore. However, we are not isolated. When the bus connections work, even people without cars go to the services.
The residential area of Mustalammi consists of two ponds and their surroundings. Pienmustalimpi is like a wilderness in the middle of the city with its beautiful, peaceful scenery. It is a place where the mind rests. The larger Mustalammi beach is more of a recreation area for city dwellers, which has been carefully developed into a cozy "living room" for nature lovers.
Well-maintained nature trails and the village's common gathering place, shed and children's playground are located in the Mustalampi shorescapes. Popular village events have been held on Lammi's porch, taking residents of different ages into consideration. A unique fruit and berry park has also been planted next to it, and in autumn we get to enjoy the garden's produce. In the park, you can taste berry and shrub varieties that thrive in Finland, and on top of the shop, you can get to know the nature of the area. Mustalammi's nature trails are a familiar excursion destination for schoolchildren from the nearby school and family daycare children in the area with their instructors.
As a residential area, Mustalampi is attractive at all times of the year, and the small houses built in different eras next to it blend well together. The residential area is characterized by well-kept gardens, which delight not only the residents but also visitors to the area. Nature is really close, it starts at the front door. We are also proud of the strong sense of community between residents in our village. We have built longwood paths and campfire sites with the logs, which are in active use. Joint events unite different generations.
On the nice village track, it's easy to get to know the residents and greet even the not-so-familiar ones. This village has a good vibe!
