Unintentional rounding in Imatra's water charges including VAT

The Economic Development and Urban Environment Board will conduct a self-correction at its meeting on January 27, 2026, in which prices will be adjusted to the nearest cent.

The VAT-inclusive price of water tariffs that came into effect at the beginning of 2026 was unintentionally rounded to the nearest ten cents during the budget process. The reason was the setting in the Excel spreadsheet.

The actual new prices that came into effect at the beginning of the year will remain unchanged after the self-correction, only the price including VAT will be revised to the nearest cent as planned. Some of the new prices were rounded up and some down.

Rounding does not affect billing. New water bills will be sent with revised prices from the beginning of the year. Imatra Water will not send a new price bulletin to homes.
