Some of the Ukonrauha trails require renovation. The matter will be discussed at a public meeting on Thursday, February 5, 2026.

The Ukonrauha route plan was completed in late 2025.

In addition to the productization of routes, the plan also includes a plan for the repair measures required by the route network.

-The route is based on existing paths and routes. Some of these routes need renovation, and a plan for repair measures was also drawn up in connection with the route plan. In practice, renovation means, for example, the renovation of guardrails, construction or, for example, the addition of gravel. At some points, it is also planned to create short new paths to improve the usability of the old route., Marketing and Tourism Director Jaakko Jäppinen says.

The plan is available in its entirety. in this link.

There is now an opportunity to give your opinion on the renovation and construction plan. Opinions and comments are welcome on the plan's target cards and the general principles of the renovation measures.
