The master plan is being completed slowly but surely
A response to the feedback is prepared and the impact of the feedback on the content of the formula is evaluated.
—In general, such feedback, where the matter is well-founded, can influence the formula solution. Mere opinions are not enough, Planning Manager Marja Pelo says.
Mass force can also have an effect: if any part of the formula causes widespread opposition or acquiescence, it can be taken into account.
A large part of the spring feedback concerned the zoning of the Lammassaari and Ukonniemi areas.
The general plan defines the broad lines
The master plan is a guiding plan. It defines the guidelines for what kind of construction is allowed in the areas: where there is industry, where residential construction, where business.
More detailed plans are drawn up in the site plan phase.
—The master plan is a vision of what Imatra will look like in 2040. When you never know the future, it may very well happen that parts of the plan will not be implemented, says Pelo.
Even if, for example, the area is defined as a residential area in the general plan, but there is no demand for the plots, the plan will not be implemented.
The plan will be approved by the city council in due course
The planning process continues with the review of statements and reminders. In the near future, it will become clear whether the reminders will cause major changes to the master plan proposal.
If there are no significant changes, the plan will go to the city council for decision-making. In the event that more changes are made, the plan will be made available again and the council hearing will be moved.
Pelo himself has moved to the service of a new employer in mid-August. The planning architect is responsible for further processing of the plan Sami Tynkkynen.
