The first outdoor ice will open tomorrow, Saturday

The outdoor ice rinks of Kostinpuisto and Vuoksenniska rink will open tomorrow, Saturday.

— The condition is not great yet, but the ice in these two places is nevertheless suitable for skating and safe, sports venue master Jani Niittynen says.

Vuoksenniska's rink will be frozen once more during the day on Saturday. In that connection, the use of the rink will be interrupted for a couple of hours.

The freezing of other city fields is still in progress.

—It is important to stay away from half-finished ice. If you go there too early, the foundations will be ruined and the opening will be delayed, Niittynen emphasizes.

The changing rooms will be opened after the rest of the fields are finished. The changing rooms of Vuoksenniska and Kostinpuisto are therefore not open yet.
