Imatra's new master plan 2040 "KokThe bigger Imatra" has progressed to the draft stage and it has been installed to the city's website and to the town hall for public viewing.
Imatra residents are now being asked for their opinions on the draft.
The general plan is not just any plan, but it defines land use at the level of the entire city far into the future.

That is, for example, the visioning of where, for example, commercial real estate or housing will be placed next. A big and important job
It's not just a little preparation either. The preparation of the general plan has already started in 2016, when opinions and visions were asked, for example, from school children.
The master plan solution will take shape through dialogue with the parties involved, additional information obtained from background studies and plans, previous decisions and approved partial master plans.

No material can be left out, even if something has already been jointly agreed to be unsuitable for Imatra's future.
