Napinkulma's site plan change became law
Button corner station plan change has received the force of law, because no appeal has been filed against the council's December decision to the Administrative Court of Eastern Finland by the deadline. The appeal period ended last Thursday.
The site plan change enables new construction on a plot of land in a central location in Imatrankoski, where there is currently a vacant commercial property.
The planning process took an exceptionally long time, all in all about seven years.
The next steps regarding the property will be resolved during the spring. Rebuilding is not in a hurry.
- When the property's ownership arrangements can be resolved, the property will be demolished from the site. If the negotiations progress favorably, the demolition of the property can begin next autumn or the following spring. During the summer holiday season, we will not start dismantling, Mitra Imatra Rakennuttaja CEO Lassi Nurmi says.
A temporary park or other recreation area will probably be made on the empty lot until the construction is up to date.
