Muha studies are part of both basic and advanced studies. In muha studies, you will learn information and skills useful for your music hobby, which will help you both in playing together and in your own practice.
Basic studies include skill levels 1–3 and skill level 4, i.e. general music knowledge. Advanced studies include e.g. studies of pitch, music analysis and harmony theory, although with the new curriculum, the college also aims to organize alternative study units (more on these from the teacher and assistant principal). The average starting age of Muha studies is 10 years. Our instrument teacher directs the student to muha studies when he determines that the student is ready for them. Music graders complete skill level 1 studies at school in the 4th grade.
At the Parikkala branch office, muha teaching is organized according to the possibilities and needs, inquiries/further information from the assistant principal: anna-mari.sopanenimatra.fi (anna-mari[dot]sopanen[at]imatra[dot]fi)
