Did you know that in 2017 Imatra's working college and Imatra's music college, run by the city of Imatra, merged and Virta-opisto was born from them. 
Virta-opisto organizes liberal education lessons, exhibition activities, lessons according to the general curriculum of visual arts and basic art lessons according to the broad curriculum of music.

The college operates regionally and basic music education is also provided in Ruokolahel, Rautjärvel and Parikkalas. 
The college is also changing the subscription service courses, which are planned according to the need.

The college's office can be found in the office premises of the Main Library. 
The teaching of the music school takes place in Kulttuuritalo Virras and the courses of the working school are distributed around the city, it all depends on what is taught in the course.
