New types of energy solutions are also suitable for rural areas. In this project increasing the use of renewable forms of energy such as sun, wind and geothermal energy in rural areas by giving practical advice and examples. Tthe task is to gather interested people together and help in planning the energy exchange.
Plans and calculations are made for public facilities such as village halls or other similar buildings. This is implemented by purchasing expert services. The production of small coal-fired district heating in rural areas is also promoted.
Go to South Karelia! The employees of the project advise all residents living in the sparsely populated area of South Karelia on the comparison of different forms of energy. The advice uses ready-made calculations for example houses and Motiva's comparison calculator for heating methods.
In 2021, five webinars were organized that dealt with renewable energy and energy efficiency.
In the project, the plans were commissioned: the air heat pump plan for the village hall, the energy efficiency plan for the lighting of the municipality hall and the plan for changing the heating method of the VPK house.
