Path to the new - POLTE project

Polku with the help of the new POLTE project, the city of Imatra's employment processes and functions will be developed and enhanced.

The project's target group is the long-term unemployed in the Imatra region and those who have become unemployed from the peat sector or its related sectors. The task of the job training offered to the target group is to act as a low-threshold springboard towards the open labor market and to improve the labor market position of persons in a weak labor market position.

The project will develop work trial and employment models, effective job training, small group activities including lifestyle guidance, and a skills development model, also taking into account training that is independent of time and place. In addition, the project will start cooperation with private employment agencies and gather aggregated information about the needs of the unemployed in the peat sector and related sectors.
