Mansikkalan koulu is a secondary school with years 7–9 and approximately 350 pupils in the centre of town in the Mansikkala district. Since the autumn of 2016, most of our operations have taken place in modern temporary facilities at Tietäjänkatu 8. The cafeteria, sports hall and workshop in the former school building are still in use.
Music classes with their choirs bring some life and originality to our everyday work. Our school also organises international classes in years 7–9. The second language in our teaching is English. International projects with Imatran yhteislukio, distance teaching options in St Petersburg and active participation in regional cultural events add a little something to the education we offer.
Our comprehensive selection of optional subjects supports the operational principle of our school and emphasises our unique attributes. Our student monitors and our student body are very active. Active cooperation between school and home and supporting the educational responsibility of the home are also a natural part of our operations.
Our location right in the centre of the school campus and business life enables us to naturally enter into versatile cooperation with schools and institutes of secondary education as well as economic life and industry. We involve third sector parties in our school's day-to-day life by further developing activities, such as recess, mentoring and club operations (Välkkäri, Mentori and Kerho).
Welcome to Mansikkalan koulu!
