Travel allowance for international trips of schoolchildren, students and young people

The grant is awarded for groups' performance, performance and study trips abroad. The grant is allocated to travel expenses.You can apply for the grant all year round.

The grant is discretionary. In 2026, €10,000 has been reserved for international travel for schoolchildren and students. The maximum amount of a single grant is €2.000 or 30% of the travel costs. The same group can only be granted a grant once per year.

The grant will be paid after the approved decision becomes legally binding, in accordance with the information provided in the application.

The grant is awarded within the allocated budget, i.e. a maximum of €10,000/calendar year.

Obligations of the grant recipient 

Increasing the positive awareness of Imatra and verifying the trip, e.g. through photos or social media. Imatra city marketing will provide Imatra marketing material to be distributed on the trip. Obligation to verify the trip's completion through photos or social media.
