— Renovations are currently being carried out on Valjaskatu, due to which vehicular traffic will be closed from the section between Hevosmiehenkatu between Viipurinti for a maximum of a week, says the site manager Jukka Malinen from Imatran Kiinteistö- ja aluepalvelut Oy.

Valjaskatu is part of Meltola's regional renovation, and a temporary above-ground water main network has been installed on the street this summer. 

Today, renovation work has also started in the area on Sompakatu.

In the renovation, the water supply network and the street floors will be renewed. From the end of Sompakatu there is a detour to Hevossuontie.

— As the construction site progresses, the connections to the Sompakatu properties will have to be temporarily cut off, but we will always notify the residents separately, says Malinen.
