Analysis of the answers is currently underway. The results are used to find concrete ways to improve the operation of school centers.

The quality surveys of the Mansikkala and Koske school centers have been completed.

With the help of surveys, we look for concrete development targets and things that can be changed in the activities and everyday life of daycare centers and schools.

—We received a lot of valuable information from the surveys and also a lot of suggestions for improvement on how to get the school centers to function in the best possible way, head of education and youth Minna Rovio says.

The answers are currently being analyzed in the teaching services and in the work communities of the school centers. Regarding the upper secondary school, the results look as expected, says the principal of the joint upper secondary school Mika Strömberg.

Director of pre-school education in the Mansikkala region Airi Kojo highlights the work done by the staff based on a preliminary review.

—The staff has succeeded in creating functional pedagogical operating models and an interactive operating culture. It has contributed to the staff's well-being at work, and work is perceived to be mostly smooth. The personnel feel the crampedness of the interior and the yard as burdensome factors, although these issues have also been solved with various functional solutions.

Getting feedback is important, states the principal of Mansikkala school center Lasse Tiilikka.

—We take the results into account in the school's development work.

The more detailed results of the survey will be reported after they have been analyzed.

The welfare committee will discuss the results of the quality survey and the proposed measures based on them in the fall of 2022.

The Vuoksenniska school center's survey was done earlier

The quality surveys were carried out in Mansikkala and Koske school centers during the spring semester.

The questionnaires were answered by guardians, staff and middle school students of Mansikkala and Koske schools.

In addition, the survey was also carried out for high school students and their guardians and teachers, as well as for the staff of the early childhood education groups operating in the Mansikkala school center.

The survey has its roots in the school network reform.

—In connection with the reform, we agreed that a quality survey will be sent to each school center after the school center has been in operation for six months. Corona messed up the schedule for Mansikkala, but now the surveys have been done, says Rovio.

The Vuoksenniska school center's survey has already been done before.

In other units of early childhood education, quality surveys have already been done before.

—We implement a quality survey every two years. The previous survey was conducted in March 2021, head of early childhood education Minna Leinonen says.
