Smart camera system for Imatrankoski bridges to measure visitor numbers

The results of the measurement serve the needs of goSaimaa and tourism.

A camera-shaped visitor counter system will be installed on the Imatrankoski bridge in May 2022 to measure how many people come to admire the rapids. 

- The camera system is not used for surveillance or filming. The camera does not collect or store personal data, goSaimaa's manager Katja Vehviläinen highlight.

The cameras collect information on the number of visitors from May to September. May 2022 – September 2022. The information collected by the camera is processed by Salmi Platform Oy and its authorized persons in the goSaimaa company.
