At least the village associations of Niskalammi and Itä-Siitola are participating in the challenge given to the village and district associations of Imatra.

The village association of Rajapatsa has challenged the areas of Imatra to cleaning tasks on the weekend of May 14-15.5.2022, XNUMX.

The challenge in a nutshell

• Imatran Region's environmental initiative offers each residents' association a roll of garbage bags and two garbage tongs to borrow. Pliers and sacks can be picked up from the town hall on Friday 13.5 May. Announce your participation on 11.5. by environmental actionatimatra.fi (umparistotoimi[at]imatra[dot]fi).

• Kipa will pick up filled, preferably full, sacks from roadsides the following week. The locations of collected garbage can be reported in the city's map service at kartta.imatra.fi/palaute.

• The sacks are piled up in a place where they can be lifted into the car, i.e. relatively close to the side of the road, but not at intersections. You can also leave it on the side of the bike path or on the playground. Garbage is collected from public areas, along main streets and cycle paths, green areas and playgrounds.

• Garbage on the sides of residential streets is the responsibility of the property owners, not if it is collected from there, then the garbage should be put in the residents' garbage.

Let's all join the challenge!
