In Kulttuuritalo Virra, events of more than 50 people cannot be organized for three weeks.

The Government has decided on 28.12. on limiting the use of the corona passport for a limited period.

The regulation will enter into force already on Thursday 30.12.2021 December 00 at 20.1.2022. It will be valid until XNUMX January XNUMX.

─ Drawing lines in this situation is exceptionally challenging. The new decision has so many consequences, Strategy and Administration Director Matias Hilden says.

Attached are a few policies related to city services from the government's decision.

Exercise facilities

All indoor gyms in the city of Imatra will continue to use the corona pass to reduce infections. The legality of continuing to use Koronapass has been confirmed by AVI.

─ In the swimming pool, the number of visitors is monitored to ensure that it is safe to swim there with sufficient space. Similarly, the number of visitors is monitored in the sports hall's gym. The small self-help gym in Vuoksenniska is open, but only a maximum of 9 people can be in the space at a time, service manager Arja Kujala says.

In exercise facilities, the maximum number in hobby and training groups is limited based on the size of each facility as follows:

  • Sports hall: 15 people per block in the ballroom (for example, 30 people in two blocks), 20 people on the running track, 10 people per hall in the budo halls, maximum 25 people in the gymnasium
  • In the ice hall, 25 people per rink can train at the same time.
  • On the other hand, training events of 50 people are allowed in the Ukonniemi arena.
  • The group sizes of the school gymnasiums will be announced later.

In all spaces, groups and teams must remain constant and they must not face each other.

Professional sports are excluded from the restriction measures.

The continuation of competition and match activities will be investigated and will be returned to after the provincial situation group meeting next Tuesday.

Ski slopes and ice rinks are in use as before.

Cultural and hobby facilities

Libraries and museums are open as usual. They have a strong mask recommendation.

Kulttuuritalo Virra cannot organize events of more than 50 people, but smaller events are allowed for health and safety reasons. They also still have a strong mask recommendation.

The Government's new policy for youth services did not bring any changes. The premises can be kept open normally.

Events

The city's New Year's fireworks can be organized because it is not a regionally limited event. Fireworks can be seen in the area of the center of Imatrankoski. The public is expected to sit comfortably to admire the rockets and wear a mask. The event starts on 31.12. at 20 p.m.

Teatteri Imatra's performance season begins with the premiere of the musical Life outside the window on January 22.1. The current restrictions are valid on 20.1. until. As for the theater, plans for the future will be made next week.
