A new life for frying fat

When you fry ham, turkey, fish or something else this Christmas, take part in the Ham trick, where the frying fat collected at the collection points is processed into renewable diesel.

When diesel is made from renewable raw materials, such as used frying fat, it is significantly friendlier to the climate.

This year, too, there are collection points all over Finland, and there are five of them in the Imatra region, where you can return the frying fat in, for example, a used milk or juice can. The ham trick collection days are between 17.12.2021 December 7.1.2022 and XNUMX January XNUMX.

Therefore, do not pour frying fats down the drain, but take them to the collection point according to the instructions below:

• Fry the food
• Pour the cooled fat into a can or similar container and close it carefully
• Take the can to the nearest collection point
