The renovation of the Imatrankoski sports field has been completed

In connection with the soil change of the field, drainage ditches were built and drainage was improved. On the surface, running straights, an artificial turf field, jumping places and basketball hoops are new. At the end of the field there is also a smaller arena for ball games.

- Koski schoolchildren use the field during school days, but the field is intended and available for every self-employed person. It is suitable for playing football, baseball and basketball. In winter, the rink is frozen for skaters, says the head of welfare services Arja Kujala from the city of Imatra.

The field's new maintenance building is still out of use, which is why it is fenced off for the time being.

- The total cost of the renovation of the Imatrankoski sports field is 800 euros. We received a grant of 000 euros from the Southern Finland Regional Administration for the renovation, says the developer From Henry Tapiola Mitra.

By the end of October, the road from the gray module of Koske school to the canal square will be asphalted. Next summer, there will be an outdoor gym on the field.
