The water outage affects four properties.

Near the intersection of Vallinkoskentie and Hernekallionkatu, a broken pipe was detected on Sunday morning. The water bubbled up underground onto the road at Hernekallionkatu 55.

Initially, the water supply had to be cut off for about ten households in this area. In the morning, the water was able to be restored to some of the properties, and four households remained without water during the repairs.

- If necessary, we will deliver water to these households, network master Kari Mäkelä says.

At the second exit of Hernekallionkatu, traffic has had to be blocked so that it is not possible to turn from Vallinkoskentie to Hernekallionkatu or vice versa. Hernekallionkatu can still be reached from the beginning of the street. Only Passthrough is blocked. During the repair work, you should be especially careful on Vallinkoskentie in the vicinity of the leak.

The repair work will be started at noon, when the cable operator has secured the correct excavation site. Efforts are being made to repair the broken pipe and restore water to the rest of the properties during Sunday. The trench will be filled until Monday, so the traffic restrictions will be in effect for longer.
