The city's top management is looking for a service director and a strategy and administration director

The search starts at the beginning of October.

As previously agreed, the city of Imatra will abandon the model of two mayors. Under the future mayor, two new positions will be created in the top management.

Another position is strategy and administration director, whose responsibility includes decision preparation and of group services derivation. The director of strategy and administration will act as the city manager's deputy if necessary.

The second position is the director of services, who is responsible for managing two areas of responsibility (well-being services and urban development).

More precisely, the content and qualification requirements of the new positions will be defined next Tuesday at the city board meeting, when the decision-makers outline the administrative rules.

─ Our intention is that we will make recruitment decisions about the new managers in November. On Tuesday, we will define the application criteria and in the early days of October we will start the open application process, chairman of the city board Ilkka Nokelainen says.

The city council will meet next Monday and Tuesday to prepare the 2022 budget for the first time. The actual meeting matters, such as the administrative rules and the establishment of positions, will be discussed on Tuesday.
