Project card: Southern Karelia Climate partners

In the Southern Karelia Climate Partners project, a climate partnership model between companies and municipalities is planned and implemented.

In the project, the Greenreality partners business network activity started in Lappeenranta will be expanded to other municipalities in the province. The partnership model in use will be expanded by adding concrete goals for companies related to reducing carbon emissions.

The goal of South Karelia's climate partnership model is to get companies and communities in the region to participate in Hinku province's emission reduction goals together with the municipalities. The climate partners define their own organization's climate actions and goals related to climate change mitigation with the support of the project.

The communication campaign of the project informs about all measures of the partner companies and the activities of the network.

The project is a joint project between the cities of Imatra and Lappeenranta.
