In May, it is also possible for Juniors to play local matches outdoors.

The provincial situation group recommends that children and young people born in 2001 and younger participating in club activities are allowed to play indoors from the beginning of May in groups of a maximum of 10 people, if the epidemic situation remains moderate. The activity must be able to guarantee a distance of more than 2 meters between enthusiasts. In indoor activities, the use of locker rooms should be minimized.

─ Because of May Day, the sports facilities in Imatra will be opened for social activities for children and young people on May 3.5. We will inform the clubs in more detail about the practical arrangements next week, facilities and security manager Sami Turunen says.

If the epidemic situation continues to decrease, according to the situation picture group, local play activities for children and young people can also start outside at the beginning of May.

- We have discussed the issue today in the snapshot group and the epidemic situation does not yet allow local or national games. The coronavirus spreads through human contact, so the public restrictions will still be in effect. From the beginning of May, it is hoped that local games could already be played. Traveling to game venues increases contacts and even practice games cannot be played in such a way that a safety distance of more than two meters is realized, comments the chairman of the snapshot group Tuula Karhula.

The situation is still unchanged through April

The changes mentioned above will not come into force in April. Children's and young people's hobby activities have already been released for one stage on 19.4. from

At the moment (in April), only children born in 2008 or younger are allowed to play indoors in small groups of no more than 10 people and outdoors in small groups of no more than 20 people.

Hobby activities for those born between 2001 and 2007 are allowed in April outdoors in small groups of no more than 20 people, including instructors. You must be able to organize the activity in accordance with the instructions given in the recommendations. All exercises must be organized in such a way that all enthusiasts are more than two meters away from each other. Without exception, the safety distance must be maintained throughout the hobby activity.

The safety of the situation is assessed weekly.

During April, all match and performance activities are still on hiatus. Practice games are not allowed and for outdoor activities, the locker rooms must not be used.
