A separate survey has been conducted for company representatives. A hotel gift card will be drawn among the respondents.

The Hinkua Etelä-Karjalaan project maps the climate-related actions and choices of the province's residents with a survey.

- We want to find out what actions the residents are doing now for the benefit of the climate. In particular, we are interested in the various good practices that are already in use, which could also be shared with others, project worker Marja Jääskeläinen says.

The survey is aimed primarily at residents living in the countryside of South Karelia, but others can also answer it. Answers from, for example, summer residents are also welcome.

The survey is to be renewed at the end of the project in 2022.

- This way we can see what kind of change has taken place during the project and whether the residents have experienced a climate awakening.

A business survey is used to find out the operating methods of companies

At the same time as the resident survey, a survey for companies is also carried out. The company survey will find out how the province's companies reduce waste and, among other things, what kind of choices the companies have made related to energy consumption and movement.

- At the same time, we map out what companies could do next for the benefit of the climate and what the next goal could be, says Jääskeläinen.

A hotel gift card will be drawn among the respondents

You can answer the resident survey from this link, and the company survey can be found here. Links to surveys can also be found on the website of the city of Imatra, among others.

A gift card worth 150 euros to the Scandic Imatra Valtionhotelli will be drawn among those who answered the resident survey. A gift card to the Imatra spa will be drawn among those who answered the company survey.

The response period ends on 16.4.
