Those taking part in the matriculation examination should avoid social contacts, i.e. self-quarantine for 14 days before the start of writing. In this way, the risk of being exposed to the coronavirus is as low as possible.

THL and the University Examination Board have prepared oh jeet how to act so that the writings are not endangered due to corona. The instructions also give operating instructions if the kokelas has been ordered to quarantine.

─ We sincerely hope that matriculation schools will now take the instructions seriously and limit social contacts. We are finding out what possibilities there are to organize a writing opportunity also for those exposed to official quarantine, but based on the first information, the arrangements are quite challenging, the head of Imatra's teaching services Minna Rovio says.

The University Examinations Board has basically instructed the quarantined examinee to apply for the cancellation of the registration and to take part in the examinations in the next examination cycle, i.e. next fall. However, if the high school decides to find out whether a quarantined examinee could participate in the exam with special arrangements, the high school will cooperate with the person in charge of infectious diseases in the hospital district.

Regarding Imatra joint high school decisions on unusual exam arrangements are made in week 10.

It is recommended that everyone wear a face mask at the audition. If health-related reasons prevent the use of a mask, the use of a visor that covers the face is recommended. At Imatra, the required safety intervals will be taken into account in the test arrangements.
