The project design of the wooden sports hall begins

The city government decided today 22.2. in his meeting, starts the wooden one sports hall project planning in Ukonniemi, Imatra.

Funding for the design project is sought from the Ministry of the Environment.

The current sports hall is in need of extensive renovation (around 12,3 million euros). A condition assessment has been made for the object, which has been supplemented with condition tests and more detailed tests.

According to the needs assessment, the old sports hall also does notäytä Requirements of the different species that are actively working on Imatra.

The project plan aims for a possible investment decision to be made next summer at the earliest, and construction could start in 2022.
