Forecasts call for heavy snowfall. Plowing is primarily focused on main thoroughfares and cycle paths.

The weather forecast for the next few days predicts heavy snowfall. At most, it can snow more than half a meter by Tuesday.

Imatra's plowing equipment is ready for the dawn of the weekend. If it snows as predicted, the plow trucks will start on Saturday morning.

Plowing primarily focuses on keeping the main thoroughfares and cycle paths open. Residential streets are driven according to need and situation, and finishing is done after the snowfall stops.

- If it snows continuously, the streets will be covered in new snow quickly after plowing. We hope for patience, understanding and peace of mind from the townspeople. The drivers work all weekend, but of course we also have to consider the employees' rest periods and endurance, work manager Kimmo Kauhanen recalls.
