South Karelia air quality's new website

The new website of South Karelia's air quality has been launched at ekilmanlaatu.net

The area's air quality measurement data is updated on the page every 10 minutes. In addition to the current air quality situation, you can view previous measurement results in pictures and tables. In addition, the page provides brief information on issues related to air quality in the area, such as the street dust situation, long-distance transport episodes or disturbances related to factory processes.

The mobile application related to the program update can now be downloaded from the Google Play store under the name Imatra-Lpr-Air. The application allows you to quickly check the air quality situation in the area.

- With these reforms, we aim to expand regional knowledge of air quality and provide more up-to-date information on air quality in the Imatra and Lappeenranta area to residents, authorities and other interested parties. The new website and application are still under development, so their functionality will improve even more, acting environmental director Arto Ahonen says.
