In the South Karelia social and health district (Eksote) area in Lappeenranta, there has been a person carrying the coronavirus in a rental cabin in the Rauha area on Saturday 23.1.2021 January 22.45 between 24.00:XNUMX and XNUMX:XNUMX. The information of sixteen people who were in the cabin at the same time has been reported to Eksoten's infection tracking.

However, the rental cabin has had several more people and the identity of all those exposed is unknown. The address or number of the cabin is not known to Eksote.

Eksote advises those who were at the cabin party at the above time to contact Eksote immediately. Taking into account the time that has passed since exposure, some of those exposed may already have symptoms. Those who were at the cabin party at the same time as the sick person should call 116 117 and report their exposure.

Almost a week has passed since the party, so even those who were in contact with those who participated in the cabin party should now closely monitor possible symptoms of infection and, if they appear, get a corona test. The aim is to take the coronavirus test quickly, within 1–2 days of the onset of symptoms. In general, in South Karelia, you apply for a test and treatment through the Omaolo.fi service or by contacting your own welfare or health center or, during emergency hours, emergency help at 116 117.

Eksote tests all people with symptoms typical of the coronavirus, even those with mild symptoms. Headache, runny nose, cough, sore throat, fever, shortness of breath, loss of taste/sense of smell, abdominal symptoms are reasons to apply for a coronavirus test even when they occur as individual symptoms. If you have symptoms of infection, you may not participate in early childhood education, go to school or the workplace, or move around in public places. Participating in the events when sick or even with mild symptoms is strictly prohibited.

Face masks are recommended for use in public transport and in public spaces, if a safety distance of 2 meters cannot be observed. Attention should be paid to the use of masks, especially when moving around in shops and shopping centers, during indoor activities and other leisure activities, public transport and private parties.

In the area of ​​Eksote, there is a 10-person gathering limit for private individuals.
