In the Kuntalaisaloite.fi web service, you can endorse an initiative concerning the city of Imatra and follow the initiatives made by others. Kuntalaisaloite.fi is a service provided by the Ministry of Justice and its use is safe and free of charge.
All municipal initiatives are processed and must be answered.
You can take the initiative alone or collect names behind the initiative.
Two percent of the municipality's residents with the right to vote can make an initiative in a matter within the jurisdiction of the municipal council, which is processed by the council. In addition, four percent of residents over the age of 15 can take the initiative to organize a municipal referendum.
The Kunatalai initiative can also be left at the city registry office, for example by email or letter. In this case, however, the initiative does not get the same visibility and other supporters that it can get when the initiative is published on kuntalaisaloite.fi.
