A cracked radiator caused water damage at the Mansikkala school center

YIT is responsible for all corrective measures in accordance with the lifecycle agreement.

A water damage occurred in the early childhood education facilities of the Mansikkala school center on Friday afternoon.

The heating radiator of the ventilation machine cracked in the IV machine room. The water from the radiator leaked onto the floor of the machine room, but from there it was able to flow through the pipe penetrations into the corridor of the pre-school and the washrooms and into a couple of rooms in the day care center.

Wet spaces drying has started. Water damage does not prevent the use of the premises.

The final repair may take a few weeks. A more detailed moisture survey and repair plan will be made on Monday by an external expert.

The freezing and cracking of the battery is probably caused by a device fault. On Friday, YIT checked the condition of all corresponding ventilation machines.

YIT is responsible for all corrective measures in accordance with the lifecycle agreement. There are no costs for the city.
