The first snowfall will change on Friday, January 8.1. for free

The city of Imatra opens the first snow slope to all users. In other words, the track becomes free from Friday 8.1 January. from

─ The natural snow situation has enabled the use of slopes in different parts of Imatra. There are no longer any grounds for paying for the Ensilume track, head of welfare services Arja Kujala says.

The first snow slope was opened on 24.10. There have been enough visitors on the track, even though the track is shorter than usual this year due to the weather. The more precise sales figures will become clear later and the city will inform about them in the near future.

Next week, the entrance exams for the border and sea guard school will be held at Ukonniemi's first snow slope. The exams are on Monday 11.1., Wednesday 13.1. and on Friday 15.1. from 7 to 10 a.m. During the tests, there are more skiers than normal on the first snow slope.
