The structures did not get wet and the works of art were not destroyed.

There has been a small water damage in the Imatra Art Museum. The copper water pipe in the art museum's storage room was corroded and broken. About 1–2 centimeters of water had spilled onto the floor of the room.

The leak soaked the stationery stored in the room and, for example, old exhibition catalogs from the 1950s. There were no artworks in the leak room.

Water damage was noticed on Friday 9.10 October.

The broken water pipe will be repaired during the current week. Moisture measurements were taken at the farm on Monday 12.10, and based on the results, major damage was avoided.

- The humidity had increased in a few areas, but the structures have remained dry. The dryers are drying the premises during this week, technical property manager Heikki Varis Mitra from Imatra Rakennuttaja Oy says.

The art museum is located in Kulttuuritalo Virra.
