The start of school requires patience in traffic.

Schools start on Thursday. This should be taken into account by everyone in traffic. A new generation is starting school again, and anyway there are a lot of small children on the move.

Special care should be taken this year in the vicinity of the Mansikkala school center, because many of the traffic arrangements there have now changed.

Motorists should remember that there is now a 30 km/h speed limit around the entire school center.

In addition, Karjaportinkatu is one-way and the triangle has been removed from it. Those driving on Koulukatu in the direction of the swimming hall must give way to those coming from Karjaportikatu.

On the attached map, you can see the new traffic arrangements and the drop-off areas for school children, i.e. the places where parents can leave their children from their cars. The city of Imatra recommends both its staff and school children to arrive at schools on foot or by bike.
