The children's and young people's departments have been completely renovated, including a new room for small children

Imatra's main library has been closed since March, first due to the corona virus, then due to library renovations. The library opens on Monday 6.7 July. in former opening hours, i.e. the library is open from Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 18 p.m., of which service hours are from 11 a.m. to 18 p.m.

The changes are still in progress. Not all library spaces are in use, but you can borrow and read magazines. The children's and young people's departments have been almost completely renewed, new things include the small children's room.

The local libraries of Rajapatsa and Vuoksenniska are open on their own every day from 7 am to 21 pm. Local libraries do not have service hours between 6.7. - 2.8.

Safety and hygiene instructions for the library

In the library, you must follow the same hygiene and safety instructions as, for example, in shops. Safety intervals and hand hygiene must be taken into account. There is a hand sanitizer available in the library. You should not come to the library when you are sick.
