Release
24.6.2020 14:05
This is a resident and stakeholder survey related to the service level decision.

The rescue service of South Karelia is currently preparing a service level decision for the years 2021-2025. Section 379 of the Rescue Act (2011 / 28) stipulates that the service level of rescue operations must meet local needs and accident threats. When defining the service level, operation in exceptional circumstances must also be taken into account.

The confirmed service level decision defines the level of implementation of the rescue service's operations. The Rescue Board has sent the proposal to the contracting authorities for a round of comments. In addition to that, the representative of the contracted fire brigades and the workplace meeting of the rescue service have their say in it. The confirmed decision will be checked by the Regional Administrative Office of Southern Finland.

The preparation of service level decisions and good governance include transparency. The rescue service of South Karelia wants to produce and develop its own services in the future in cooperation with the people of South Karelia. That is why the rescue service wants to hear how it has been successful so far and how services can be produced and further developed.

Answer and influence, the survey is open until August 28.8.2020, XNUMX. You can access the survey here.
