More efficient utilization of materials and recycling are also part of climate work. The project promotes sustainable material consumption and reuse in everyday solutions in line with the circular economy. The recycling of construction and demolition materials is improved, and opportunities are created for the joint use of goods.
A small building has been built in the project, which has utilized demolition material. The building is a shed-type accommodation, which was placed in the forest lands of the Saimaa Vocational College in Raippu.
The project promotes the shared use of goods in villages, for example through village loan shops. Among other things, Utula's store is introducing the lending of objects, and negotiations are underway with the provincial library about the development of object lending.
The project hopes that companies and municipal institutions will reduce material waste. By reducing the loss, you can get significant savings. One person's waste can be a raw material or a source of energy for another. Cooperation is worth it!
