The Omat Hoodit campaign aimed at young people in 25 regional towns reached the attention of more than half a million young people. The competition was participated in many different ways and styles; the works included videos, dance, music, texts and drawings.

In the first Omat Hoodit challenge, the Regional City Network's Flexible Training Models project challenged young people to tell what they have been up to during the exceptional time and the plans they plan to implement in their hometown when the social restrictions are over.

Those who participated in the challenge from Imatra Ida Nevametsä ja Rasmus Rahikainen were rewarded with gift cards. Ida participated in the challenge with dance and Rasmus with a video game piece.

Young people aged 10-22 living in the cities of the campaign could participate in the challenge. The campaign wanted to challenge young people to look at their everyday life from a positive perspective.

Sports stars in the regional towns were also inspired to encourage young people to take up the challenge. Among others, a skier was involved Krista Pärmäkoski, a hockey player Jussi Jokinen and a skiing legend Juha Mieto. The challenge is judged by the popular YouTube comedy group Justimusfilms.

Salolainen was chosen as the winner of the first challenge of the Omat Hoodit campaign Rasmus, whose work was rap video. The winner got a Segway Ninebot ES2 electric scooter and access to the filming of Justimus' new Duo 2 TV series in August-September 2020 as an assistant.

All the participants provided wonderful works. In the end, we ended up crowning Salolaine's rap guy as the winner; the video showed both effort and fun. The words gave a funny sense of what will be done when the restrictions end - in addition, the landscape of the home region was creatively brought to the video, says Justimusfilms Sami Grayala.
